Dj chooses to portray the emotional response rather than realistic representation when she paints.She enjoys abstract and primarily uses oils in her work, although she works in several mediums..Her pine needle baskets and gourds have been exhibited up and down the West Coast. Dj was owner of the Four Seasons Gallery and also coordinator for The So-Ho Gallery in Pomona.
Dj started her education at Colorado State University in the field of Dress Design and Business.Later she pursued a Fine Arts and Teaching Degree at Cal State Fullerton. She is very active in nature, completing the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine on a six month back pack! She lets her love of the outdoors to flow through her work.
