Art Classes ages 13-17 Prices just dropped!

Objective

*To give the teens of Wrightwood a safe and healthy outlet for nurturing their creativeness.
*To study the “greats” in the world of art ,and learn and practice their techniques.
*To also learn from local artists of W.W., whom will come in and give demonstrations on different techniques. Students will participate and practice these mediums.
*To keep class size minimal, as to give students enough space and attention
*( with parents permission) We will also go out into nature, that we are so blessed to live in, and work mobile in the scenic areas nearby, on local field trips.
*Field trips will also include visiting museums to take advantage of existing and new exhibits, or participate in lectures that would be age appropriate and informative, at said museums. After such outings we will reflect and react together discussing what we experienced that day.

Concerning field trips…Our local trips will consist of destinations such as, the Morman rocks, the railroad tracks, hiking off Lonepine, Clyde Ranch, and maybe even a locals back yard that has the interesting qualities ,ect.. Distant field trips will be places such as…Wignall Museum at Chaffey, demos by the Inland Empire Art Association in Rancho Cuc., The Getty in L.A., Riverside Art Museum, ect. Parents will never be discouraged from joining us, but you will have to drive separately and pay your own way, as the childrens costs are covered by their monthly fees.

*Twice a year, the O.I. Gallery will become the young artists exhibit for 1 evening. The youth involved in this project will showcase their work in a real gallery! Allowing parents and our community to experience and appreciate what our young people have to offer .
　Times: Home schooled students: Mondays from 10am- 12pm, Wednesday from 10am-12pm( field trip day times will vary)
             Traditional School students: Thursdays from 5-7pm, and Saturdays from 10am-12pm( field trip day times will vary)
Cost: Supplies are separate;
Cost covers:
At least 1 field trip a month ( not in Wrightwood) Includes lunch this day.
At least 1 field study, local to W.W. , includes snack and drinks
Compensation for other local artists to come and give demonstrations, twice a month
At least 16 hours a month of learning/ instruction time per month
$160 $125 a month

If your child is involved in a Home school program that offers financial help for extracurricular activities…Let us know and we will work on becoming an approved vendor through your program.

 


Class will continue all year long, but if your young artist wants to take time off that is , of course, up to you both. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a spot will be open upon their return. A waiting list sign up will be always be available.
