Donald James Washburn
Born 1935 in Tacoma, Washington; attended the University of Washington in Seattle starting in 1956. He was drafted into the U. S. Army in 1958 and served two years in Europe. He completed his Bachelors of Fine Art with High Honors at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 1971. He completed his Masters of Fine Art in 1973 at the Collage of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California while mentored by Robert Bechtle. Donald has worked as a Graphic and Technical Illustrator for the Boeing Company and others. He has shown his work at the Virginia Art Museum and the Hampton Museum in Virginia and more recently at the Stewart Gallery in Boise, Idaho. He now lives in Wrightwood, CA where his work can be seen at Original Ink Gallery and SK Jones Gallery.
